Yasmin Dubrau is Heretaunga/Hastings based artist, whose work incorporates painting, weaving and three dimensional works. She studied painting at Unitec before heading toJapan where she lived for a number of years. Using rhythm, repeated forms, colours and motifs to create a non-coded visual language; Dubrau creates a sense of discovery and mystery as ideas communicate through personal feeling and intuition. Dubrau’s interest in the natural world, cosmos, ecology, the soil and the cycle of birth and decay is reflected in her work.

Painting from the world around her, memories and abstracted landscapes, ‘Roll Over’ plays with change of scales and perspectives. It is one of her largest works to date and incorporates elements of her three dimensional work, and was created specifically for peep.
