Paula Clare King (Pākehā of Irish and Danish ancestry) currently lives and works in the Manawatū. She believes her artistic practice is a spiritual process that enables her to be present while reflecting on the past and what is yet to be revealed.

She takes inspiration from the land, particularly, the Ruahine and Tararua Ranges, alongside how people engage with the environment, memories, and dreamlike visions.
