Maisie Chilton works out of her home studio where she lives with her whānau deep in the Wainuiomata forest. Her work is an expression of her own experiences as a new mother, a trauma survivor, and a woman living with cerebral palsy. In 2021 she was awarded The Springboard Award by Te Tumu Toi The Arts Foundation identifying her as an emerging New Zealand artist with outstanding potential.
